What is Multi-Faith Support at LSBU?

The LSBU Multi Faith Support Service is here for the whole LSBU community and aims to provide:

  • Pastoral support, guidance and fellowship for students and staff from all faith backgrounds and none.

  • Opportunities for students and staff to celebrate, participate in and learn about different faith traditions, and to explore spirituality, prayer and their place in the world and to reflect on the perspectives of others.

  • Opportunities for students and staff to volunteer in local community activities and so strengthen the links between the university and the wider community.

The Multi-Faith Support service is provided by Associate Chaplains, who are members of local faith groups. They are great listeners, and can provide support from a faith perspective if this is wanted. They bring their experience of living a life of faith onto campus and offer their presence and accompaniment to others.

They additionally support students who have experienced loss or other life challenges, and they are willing to discuss questions of faith and spirituality while remaining kind, respectful and open to the individual's perspective. They will never pressure you to believe anything in particular, and will always help you find your own answers.
