You may have been asked to provide a work or holiday letter. However, there are no specific letters for these purposes. Further explanation can be found below:
Work Letter
We as an institution are not required to provide you with a letter to confirm that you can work on a part time basis. If you wish to prove you have the right to work in the UK, then you must generate a ‘Right to Work’ share-code on the View and Prove your Right to Work portal. Once you generate a share-code you can send this to your employer to view.
It is ultimately your employer’s responsibility to confirm your right to work as they could be penalised if they do not abide to the Government requirement as highlighted in the
Employer’s guide to right to work checks webpage.
If your employer is requesting proof of your full-time enrolment at LSBU, then you can provide them with a
student status letter. The student status letter confirms that you are a student at LSBU, which means you follow our standard student term-time/holiday dates.
You can access the holiday and term time dates on our
Academic Calendar. You can submit a copy of the calendar to your employer if they have any questions on our term dates.
Holiday Letter
We are unable to provide you with a letter that confirms you can travel outside of the UK during our holiday dates, including a 'No Objection Certificate'.
Instead, please ensure you have checked your
eVISA is up to date with all your personal information and travel documents. You can also download a
student status letter which confirms your enrolment at LSBU.
